The May 2021 issue of The Linking Ring, an international trade journal for conjurers, featured a certain Belfastian wonderworker on its front cover.
Yes, I was the figurehead on this prestigious journal, and I was also the topic for the feature story.
The journal is published by the International Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M.) which is an organization for both professional and amateur close-up and stage magicians, with approximately 15,000 members worldwide. There are over 300 local groups, called Rings, in more than 88 countries.
As mentioned, the organization have since 1922 published a monthly periodical entitled The Linking Ring, which features innovations in the field, reviews, coverage of shows and events in the magic community, and interviews with magicians. Many of the magicians I admire have been featured on its cover, and I never thought I could do more than just dream of being featured myself. And now, the dream have become real!
